Study music industry at JCC
The Music Industry degree at Jamestown Community College prepares you to transfer to a four-year program in music business or a related field and find employment within the modern music industry. The music industry is a complex and growing field, with careers in artist management, venue management and operation, recording and production, publishing, law, public relations and marketing, A&R representation, broadcast media, and film.
While at JCC, you’ll develop a versatile skill set through courses in music, music technology, business, and computer science. You’ll study important aspects of the music industry such as publishing, copyright and licensing, recording, artist and tour management, marketing, and distribution. Our music computer lab and recording studio feature industry-standard software. JCC’s Music department hosts concerts, guest musicians, and events that you can attend and participate in. If you want to expand your skills, the Music Industry degree can be earned alongside the Digital Audio Production certificate.
